FAQ's

  1. What is the difference between User experience (UX) and User interface (UI) design?
User experience (UX) is an umbrella term for how a person feels when interacting with a system or product. The system or product could be a website, mobile app, or a piece of equipment. UX Design for the web basically relates to the functionality of the website and how the function is designed to meet business goals. It focuses specifically on the ‘user’, their needs and their wants. User interface (UI) design is a component of UX design, which refers to the visual layout of the website. This includes content structure and incorporation of design elements.
  2. What is Information Architecture?
Information architecture is a term which specifically relates to the structure of both written and visual content on a website. How content is organised and labelled in a way that is most effective and beneficial for the user.
  3. How much do you charge?
We have several packages with fixed prices for startups, artists and small businesses. Please get in touch with us to find out more :). We understand that no two projects are the same and every client has a different need. For custom work - once we  discuss your requirements we will be able to provide you with an accurate quotation.
  4. Where do you work?
We are based in Perth, Western Australia. We are happy to travel anywhere in the Perth Region to meet with you to discuss your requirements. We also love to collaborate with clients across Australia and around the world, and can easily communicate through Skype and email.
  5. What web platform and software do you use and recommend?
For design work, we currently use a mix of Sketch, Adobe Creative, and Affinity. For web applications, we are able to work across a range of platforms, so it really depends on what kind of business you have and the needs of the website.
  6. How long do projects take?
Every project is different, depending on the scope and scale of work. For a standard business website, it can take approximately 2 weeks depending on the amount of  content. If you have a deadline, we are happy to work with you in order to meet it.
